The Addendum❦
Greetings. You have somehow stumbled your way upon my notes. Here, I write about anything & everything under the Sun. I began creating these notes a few years ago, when I somehow found out about Obsidian & got introduced into the PKM world. This was some time around 2022. Since then I have kept myself involved in the PKM sphere to a lesser degree. After one-too-many days spent restructuring my entire vault, I realized that I could no longer continue to use other people’s arbitrary & bloated systems. Notes are supposed to be as individual as the person taking them. Once I decided that enough was enough, I completely wiped out my notes & started over. No fancy Johnny Decimal or PARA system. Just my brain, my fingers, & my desire to create something that works for me. Welcome to what I made.
As you would expect, there are certain rules & expectations I have for everything that makes its way here. These can be found in the Vault Legend. Do keep in mind the fact that there is certain functionality that is not available on this site that is available for me in Obsidian. I’m going to bridge that gap as time goes on. Specifically, I’m referring to the icons at the very bottom of the legend note. Maybe someday…

As I write, review, & develop my notes, you’ll come to find all sorts of subjects being explored in one way or another. You’ll come to find notes on Western Esotericism, music, rationality; just to name a few. You’ll find notes on books I have read, articles I have saved, videos I’ve watched, & much more.
About This Site
I have made this site using Quartz 5 in conjunction with GitHub Pages. For my domains, I use Epik. Inspirations for the aesthetic come from sites like Gwern.net & LessWrong.
At some point, I’ll switch from GitHub Pages to a server of my own.
The reason why this website exists is because I had an epiphany while reading My Experience of Writing · Gwern.net. I felt both targeted & inspired by that particular segment & I came to somewhat understand the degree to which I am my own biggest enemy. The vast majority of the population (if not all) has the same problem. Where the differences lie are in the ways said quirk manifests in each of our lives. This glimpse shook me, because I know that if something doesn’t change, I will not be able to achieve my dreams. “What dreams?” My dreams of writing. I have no intention right now of ever writing a book. What I mean is just this that you’re reading right now. I write all the time about all sorts of things, but especially of what I want to understand; & I thought it such a shame that my writing was so solitary. It soothes me to think that my writing exists somewhere outside of my own realm of control. Hopefully I can look back when time has passed & see the growth in my ideas. I certainly hope that others feel inspired by my words too.
Why Public Notes
You might not be familiar with the concept of learning in public. Its premise is to allow the person doing it to learn faster & receive better feedback by making their learning attempts visible to whoever wants to see them. My hopes in employing this method are twofold: I want to able to have conversations from perspectives different from what I’m used to & I want you, dear reader, to take away the following: anything that can be written about, should be. You might want to specialize in one certain niche or subject in your professional life. That is okay. But when it comes to your own time, write about it all. Form connections between everything you can because that is the truth of life. There are no divisions; there is nothing that is either good or bad, but thinking makes it so… So feel free to mix & match all disciplines if it helps you make sense of the world.
